Hi everyone I first wanted to start out by saying thank you so much for the support that I have been receiving. It has been truly overwhelming to watch the Lord work in my life over the past few weeks. Time is flying by as we are approaching the last month of preparation before kick off! So far God has been providing for me in ways that I would have ever imagined. He is showing up time and time again and proving that His way will always be better than my own way.

With that being said I am already FULLY FUNDED for this trip! That is mind blowing to me as it only took 32 days to receive all the necessary funding and I have until May to get there. Your support financially and in prayer/encouragement has been living proof that God is calling me to the international mission field. So I wanted to take a moment and say right away kudos to you all who have stepped up and answered the calling God has put on your heart. I couldn’t do it without each and everyone of you and I promise the Lord will make good of the contributions you have shared with me in support of this upcoming journey!

In the final weeks of preparation I have been working to make sure I have all my gear in place and get all of my belongings packed. It is hard to think what all I might need in the next 11 months of my life as we are asked to compress all essentials into 1 hiking pack. This process in itself has been teaching me to trust in the Lord and his continued provision and protection over me in my up coming travels. It is very easy for me to think of all the “what ifs” of travel and begin to believe I am under prepared and ill equipped for what is to come. I am reminded time and time again that God will provide and that because I am walking in his calling and purpose for my life he will be with me every step of the way. Ephesians 2:10 says “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” I find confidence in knowing that I was created in the image of Jesus and that God did this to prepare me for the calling He had laid out for me before my life even began. It is very peaceful knowing that despite what obstacles I may face out in the mission field I am walking in the good works the Lord has created me for! I have to imagine this is what David must have felt like in the lions den. Gentle apprehension that gets drown out when we renew our mind and remember the promises God has made for us. I am really looking forward to this season of trusting Him more than I ever have and being used for advancing his Kingdom.

Thank you all again for the continued support! I begin training in Gainesville GA on January 14th and couldn’t be more excited to get started! I wish I could leave tomorrow, the anticipation is killing me! (In a good way). One final thank you to all who came out to support me at the Chili Cook Off Fundraiser, we had 50 or more people show up and 10 pots of chili. It was a rally good time to connect with family and friends and to fellowship with the Lord. If you were unable to attend you can catch a video of some of the action right here in my blog post or by clicking HERE. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas season and can’t wait to give you another update before I launch!
