Hi everyone wanted to give you all a quick update about all that has been happening in my personal life as I wrap things up and prepare to launch in January. Since my last post so much has happened and I have watched the Lord work in major ways. With the amount of time there was between my commitment to go on this trip and the launch day I knew He would have to move in big ways and it would only be through His provision that the trip would even be possible. He has been knocking down barriers and keeping me motivated to get things done and be ready to go in time!

We will start with some of the smaller things first. I had to get a passport and get it expedited to ensure it arrived on time and low and behold it arrived weeks earlier than predicted and the photo actually turned out to be a good one! I also had to get up to date with the medical side of things and after some discussion with current and past racers as well as my family I was provided clarity from the Lord and was able to tackle all the vaccinations and paperwork hassle free. So now I am up to date medically, and have my travel documents in order. The last major obstacle that needed to be tackled was finding a renter for my house and holy cow, the Lord had a plan there as well!

This past week my pastors house caught fire and was burnt to the ground. All of the members of the family were able to get out of the home in time and are safe but boy oh boy was that unexpected. Just as He always does God had a plan bigger than myself, my pastors, or anyone else could expect. The day the house burnt down I got a message from them asking about possibly being my renters for the next year while I am out of the country. I told them that I had planned to live there until the New Year but we could work things out. (This was all happening while my sister, brother in law and niece who is 2 were here visiting from Phoenix for Thanksgiving so I had a very busy week!) But after a brief tour of the house on Friday they gathered what they had and moved in for good on Saturday. Not even a week after the fire the Lord was able to get them into a new temporary home that they will be able to call their own for the next year. I am feeling so blessed and grateful that the Lord had me in a place to be used and serve the body of Christ in this way. This also just affirms my call to the mission field even more. Had I not been obedient in the beginning I would have missed out on the opportunity to be used as a blessing in their life now. This is how the Lord works when we are obedient to His will He heaps on the blessings in ways that we can not even imagine or comprehend. “Isaiah 1:19 – If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.” I am excited to eat the good of His lands while overseas in the coming months and am grateful for the opportunity to be used for His will while I am still here. If you would like to hear more about my pastors testimony and how the Lord is working in their life check out their story below, it starts at about the 41:00 minute mark.
