I just wanted to take a quick moment to say thank you for stopping by my blog page 🙂 Over the course of the next year I will be traveling to at least 6 countries to spread the Gospel and Kingdom message with the world. I am super excited that you have chosen to follow along on this journey. Although you will not be there with me in person you will certainly be there with me in spirit and that is just as important! I can’t say thank you enough for all the prayers and support I have been receiving from my community and even folks I have never met before!!
My hope is to share testimonies and stories of how the Lord is working in me and through me in the coming year and hopefully in this process it will be an inspiration to others as well. Currently our team is meeting on Monday nights to do Bible study in preparation for our trip and last night we discussed some verses that really hit home for me as I begin to step into God’s calling for my life. Ephesians chapter 4 is filled with so many encouraging words. The principle that really stuck out to me was although we are not all called to the same task or mission, we are all called to the same purpose. This purpose is to spread the Word of God to all nations. Ephesians 4;4-6 says: “4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” I think this verse makes it clear that although you won’t be joining me on this trip you will still be there with me every step of the way as you pray and support me on this journey. Your prayers are just as important as the work we are going to get to accomplish while out in the mission field.
This is made true later on in Ephesians when Paul writes: “11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” It takes all types of people, callings, and personalities to fully accomplish the work of the Lord. Paul goes so far as to say we are not made fully mature until we embrace our individuality and the differences of others and learn to work together in unity to glorify His name. With that being said I am honored that I will get to share with you stories and testimonies of how I am seeing the Lord work in hopes of encouraging and emboldening you in your own faith. Together and with Christ at the center we can walk in confidence in this world spreading His light to all corners of darkness.
Thank you again for your support and the many words of encouragement I have received. Here is to the journey ahead, I couldn’t do it without YOU! And as always Glory to the King, our provider of all things!
